RealFood Grows Design Team: Bryant and Gates Promoted to Lead Design Positions

RealFood Hospitality, Strategy & Design (RealFood) announced the promotions of two key members of its growing design team. Peter Bryant, former senior design specialist, was promoted to project manager, a role in which he will focus on client success through execution of the complete lifecycle of design projects, including commercial kitchens, bars and service areas for all types of venues. Jessica Gates was elevated to associate project manager from her prior role as design specialist. Gates will manage client relationships, provide guidance and leadership to the entire design team, and continue to execute drawings for hospitality design projects.

As the RealFood client portfolio continues to expand both in numbers and across sectors of the hospitality industry, the company is investing in its workforce, rewarding the achievements of the current team while strengthening its design aptitude with newly created positions. The company plans to add another designer and an operations specialist to its roster this year to service a range of project types including: K-12 education, lifecare and healthcare, restaurants and bars, breweries, clubs, hotels and resorts, workplace dining, and mixed-use spaces.

“Both Peter and Jessica possess exceptional technical skills, and their determination and dedication is steadfast,” says Matt Camilleri, managing director of RealFood. “I’m convinced that with Peter and Jessica stepping into new roles, coupled with the positions we are currently recruiting for, we’re on the fast-track to developing new superpowers to serve our clients and partners at a whole new level of excellence.”

Since his start at RealFood in 2016, Bryant has been instrumental in positioning RealFood’s design services department to become one of the premier foodservice facility design resources for the hospitality industry; his design work, especially as it relates to workplace dining for tech company campuses worldwide, has been integral to growing the portfolio. A graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology’s College of Architecture and LEED Green Associate, Peter consistently delivers on the client vision, with a keen attention to detail, best-in-class document development, and efficient communication as a liaison between clients and construction teams.

Celebrating her third anniversary with RealFood last month, Gates is a driving force behind RealFood’s design standards and internal protocols. She approaches hospitality design from a service perspective, always seeking out the best solution, both technically and operationally. After earning a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, Gates worked in event and foodservice operations, giving her an advanced viewpoint on her current design work within the world of hospitality. A persuasive speaker and spirited advocate, Gates currently serves as the Language Training & Resources Chair on the Diversity & Inclusion Council for RealFood’s parent company, Troon.
