RealFood Develops Menu for New Sports Bar ‘Oskee,’ Opening This Spring

Atkins Golf Club at the University of Illinois is opening a new restaurant and neighborhood pub, Oskee’s Sports Pub, this spring. RealFood Hospitality, Strategy, & Design developed the menu, food and beverage programming, and concept of the Oskee Sports Pub. RealFood’s parent company, Troon, will also provide operational management of the restaurant.

“We’re excited to partner with Troon Golf to open Oskee’s this spring. Oskee’s will be a family-friendly sports bar that will provide golfers quality food and service before, during and after the round. In addition, Oskee’s will be a great addition to Urbana and the entire community, which will welcome the non-golfer who is just looking for a casual sit-down restaurant bar to meet up with friends,” said University of Illinois Athletics Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director Marty Kaufmann.

The new restaurant will be catered towards bringing fans, families, friends, and alumni together to share food and drinks and cheer on Illinois teams. The menu developed by RealFood, will feature convenient options for golfers for breakfast, then serve an all-day menu of shareable plates, comfort foods, and local favorites.

RealFood to Help Morin’s Hospitality Group Expand Restaurant Business

RealFood was hired by Morin’s Hospitality Group to support the transformation of a new restaurant into an “edgy comfort food, yet upscale” space. Morin’s Hospitality Group bought former Bayberry Beer Hall in Providence, RI. They dream of converting the space into the “best” in an area where there are several interesting restaurants. New apartments in the downtown area are also bringing in new and younger clientele, who RealFood and Morin’s Hospitality Group will consider with the renovation.

 

Foodservice Design Associates is Now Part of RealFood

Expanding into Education, Lifecare, and Municipal Foodservice Segments

Since 1990, Florida-based Foodservice Design Associates (FDA) has been providing professional foodservice consulting services to nationally recognized architecture and interior design firms. FDA was acquired by RealFood in January 2021, and now, as part of the RealFood organization, the FDA team, including the company’s Principal Philip Bean, will continue to provide the highest standard of foodservice design consulting resources to a broad portfolio.

Current and future clients and partners will benefit from this new center for cross-pollination of best practices from a variety of foodservice models. Collaboration between teams brings expansion and expertise into FDA’s primary focus areas of public and private education, lifecare and healthcare facilities, and municipal buildings.
